Registration is now open for SPARK! 2026, an all-day convening set for Thursday, June 11, 2026, at UACCB’s Independence Hall. This event advances the WORK/WIRED Systems Building Initiative, a partnership focused on strengthening talent development systems across Independence County.

SPARK! 2026 will unite employers, educators, and community stakeholders for a day focused on connection, insight, and action. Participants will collaborate to align education pathways with workforce needs, supporting opportunity and economic growth in the region.

The morning session will highlight local data and stories from the emerging workforce, providing a clear view of trends, challenges, and opportunities in Independence County. Attendees will gain insights into the experiences of young people entering the workforce and the systems supporting them.

In the afternoon, participants will examine local best practices for building a future-ready workforce, highlighting effective models already impacting the community. Sessions will offer practical strategies and ideas that can be adapted across sectors.

SPARK! 2026 is more than a summit; it is a working convening designed to move from discussion to action. Attendees will co-create solutions, strengthen partnerships, and help shape a shared vision for talent development in Independence County.

“This is about building something together,” said Novella Humphrey, Chief Operating Officer of the Batesville Area Chamber. “SPARK! 2026 invites our community to align efforts, share ownership, and take meaningful steps toward a stronger, more connected workforce system.”

Space is limited. Early registration is recommended.
